Tax affected due to change in the Payroll Area

Hi All

Employee's payroll area has been changed w.e.f. 01.08.2018. While running the simulation payroll for the month of Aug, there is no tax deducted and the system has not gone for a retro

But when i changed the payroll area w.e.f. 01.08.2018 to the existing one, system goes for a retro but deducts tax as required

Please help

Hi,

Firstly check the Earliest Retro Date of control record of new payroll area (compare with old payroll area).

You may also have to drill down to payroll log of this employee to look for any specific clue.

regards,

Bala

What do you mean by " w.e.f. " ?

When talking about a Payroll problem, it is always preferable to mention for what Country.

When the employee changed Payroll Area, was it to a Payroll Area related to the same Country?

That other Payroll Area, is it something new or an existing PAA with existing employees?
