VNPT E-invoice Integration with SAP (Vietnam Specific)

Hi,

we are rolling out SAP to one of our customer in Vietnam,As as local legal requirement for vietnam, they need to issue the VAT Invoice(Red-Invoice) as per the VAT percentage. Currently our customer is issuing it through VNPT E-Invoice software manually. if any one has any experience on this can you please guide me how we can integrate SAP with VNPT E-invoice software?

Hi Mohanraj,

We are facing kind of the same; we need to start issuing electronic invoices for Vietnam, but I haven't found any recommendation of what solution take: eDocuments, Idocs, maybe keep using outputs with INVOIC02. Maybe you can give me lights of which one is the most recommended now, considering SAP does not provide a country version for Vietnam.

Just for other reference i'm writing the outcome of our analysis.

VNPT provides the Web services through which, SAP and VNPT can be integrated directly.

Is there any full cycle explanation in between SAP and VNPT. We expect to use VNPT for

Vietnam E-Invoice. User also need to manual process or VNPT vendor will proceed the data

conversion with Tax authority.

I'm sorry for my late response. Below is what we have done for our customers.

E2E Process between SAP and VNPT

Source of Billing Document:

1. From SD Module.

2. From CS Module.

3. From FI Module.

Single Add-on function to Integrate with VNPT ( Billing Document Report + VNPT E-Invoice Issue from SAP )

1. User Execute the Report to see the list of Documents for which VNPT E-Invoice to be issued. => Operation in SAP

2.Select the Document that needed to be issued to VNPT E-Invoice and Click "issue E-Invoice to VNPT" => Operation in SAP

3. Technically in SAP, it calls the VNPT web services(Shared by VNPT Vendor) using SOAP protocol with the synchronous connection.

4. After the E-Invoice issued successfully to VNPT, SAP will get the VNPT E-Invoice number in return.

5. The VNPT E-Invoice number will be updated in the FI Document in SAP header reference field XBLNR using "FI_DOCUMENT_CHANGE" and reference field XBLNR SD Billing document "UPDATE_XBLNR_IN_VBRK"

VNPT will arrange for the Test environment where we can test the SAP and VNPT integration solution. VNPT service is not so good which may potentially delay the project timelines.

Update: we are applying SAP eDocument to our Vietnam company. with adjusting some standard functions of other country/region, the eDocument frame works fine. we'd chosen web service solution to send billing document to VNPT.

Its clearly that SAP couldnt support every software in the world, so that software need to be in the list of supported or it have to have settings to integration with SAP. If not, im afraid that you have to find workaround to achive it ( like read from file, send through html...). Its based on the software they using.

Before going for third party vendor, did you check with SAP itself whether it can be addressed in SAP ? Since it is a statutory requirement, I am sure, SAP would assist you with some OSS note. Raise an OSS message and get it confirmed by SAP.

I have raised the same question to SAP, they said they don't support Vietnam country specific requirements.
