brarchive retention / delete redo logs after 1 day

Hi

We have Oracle on Windows and backup to disk with brtools 7.4 / rman

Currently we use brarchive function save_delete.

We have the requirement to keep the offline redo logs for at least 8 hours in the folder oraarch. Is there a way to do this with brarchive and maybe a combination of the different functions?

We could do a brarchive backup with option -s only and delete these files with OS-means, but in this case offline redo logs could be deleted although a previous brarchive-run failed...

Please assist

Hi Michael,

Have you thought about setting cds copy-save-delete? Assuming you run this daily or 8-hourly, then the log files are backed up twice before deletion/
