HANA Express on CAL doesn't resolve host name

Hi Gurus,

I am working on a Mac, so the problem might have something to do with this.

After having created an instance of HANA Express in CAL and wanted to access the Web IDE using

https://<External IP of HANA instance>:53075/watt/index.html

This redirects me to

https://vhcalhxedb:30032/uaa-security/oauth/authorize?response_type=code&redirect_uri=<...>login%2Fc...

After that I get a DNS error

This site can’t be reached

vhcalhxedb’s server DNS address could not be found.

• Try running Network Diagnostics.

DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

How can I setup my Mac (!!) to access the URL?

Did you setup correct mapping (IP to hostname) in your /private/etc/hosts file?

You have to add (for example):

12.34.45.67 vhcalhxedb

Then vhcalhxedb should be recognizable from your web browser.

This message is out of the topic above, but my assumption is that user requires some specific roles. Please check the official documentation on http://help.sap.com/

After making my Mac rootless, I was able to change the hosts file, thanks!.

Now the request is redirected, but I still get an error when I log in with user SYSTEM:

Authorization Request Error
There was an error. The request for authorization was invalid.
