capturing time data - external system into SAP

Hi all,

1. I want to know how the time data entered in the external time recording system into SAP HR time management master data? Please tell me what is the interface used for integrating these two systems? Is the interface provided by SAP itself or a third party tool?

2. For integrating the data from external system into SAP HR system, whether a separate consultant is required for this (or) is it the job of the SAP HR consultant?

Hi,

1. Here interface is Upload program.

Actual procedure is : From Time recording system(biometric fingerprint readers and time and attendance management software, Time recording machines) we will download the time events into Excel/notepad.

Again that excel/notepad file we will upload into SAP R/3 using standard program or customized program. With this program directly it will hit to IT2011.

I think so sap also providing the time recording system, and also will get in market(3rd party).

2. It is depend on work, actually for few employees not required seperate consultant.

for time being hr consultant will do all those works, because of it is daily basis work. everyday we need to download and upload the program.

Hi !

There are several time recording machines which is SAP Certified, one

example being Kaba Benzing (www.kaba-benzing.com) and there distributin

module B-COMM . Kaba is a german based time and data recording company

These systems has built in interface capabilities. You can also take

look at SAP standard transaction PT80, which can be used to control th up-

and download of time recording data.

For every type of machin you have to write a batch input program to inut

the data into table TEVEN.

You might also find useful information reading the documentation about

communication channels like CC1, CC2 HR-PDC, PP-PDC

Dear Devi,

I have to intergrate my time managemnt to time recording machine(KRONOS) am not aware about that it's sap certified or not .How we can access the data from that machine and insert in sap tables that means we have to communicate sap to non sap system.Kindly guide me for creating the inbound interface for communication or if any other way then tell me

depends upon the client practice how he is recording the the time we as SAP HR Consultant shd Generate the report

RPTCC105 which have clock in and clock out info of the employee

we SAP HR consultant has to do this work as it comes as + time management

Are u going for positive time pls let me kmow
