Reference Customer

Hi gurus,

I am working on crm upgradation project, while creating a consumer on channel partner portal a BP is to be created with role consumer and the sales area get assigned to that BP according to the sales area maintained for reference customer, and already some unnecessary sales area is maintained for the reference customer, i wanted to delete few sales area which is assigned to reference customer, how to do that and is there any implications for the existing scenario.

Please guide me.

Initially refer to the thread

The sales area once assigned to a BP cannot be deleted, hence the report mentioned is required to remove the unwanted sales areas assigned to the consumer.

Thanks for your response, the thread you have mentioned is very helpful for me. but if i delete these sales area from the table for the reference customer, will it affect to any transactions or past data or any report,

b'coz i am working on upgradation project.

Hi Jolly,

I understand that some "unwanted" sales area xyz assigned to the reference customer is to be removed and it is done. Thus henceforth the creation of consumers would not have the same copied to it. Now, we are worried about the reference of this sales area in transactions which might lead to inconsistancies, which I dont think would be a problem, unless the unwanted sales area is still part of the org model and not removed. If this was deleted, then the transactions would be referrring to non existing sales area which might be a problem.
