Changing from MTO to MTS

Former Member

Dear All,

I want to change my planning strategy for FERT material from 20 to 10 (i.e MTS from present MTO).

Current field in MM.

MRP Type - PD

Strategy group - 10

My requirement are as under,

I want that after posting Sales order in SD and taking MRP run, all the unrestricted stock should first get allocated to the order and then system should raise Planned order for shortages.

Want to set reorder level with Min & Max quantities for production so as when the reorder level hits the system generates the planned order for Max quantities for production.

Kindly give your feedback how to do the same.

Dear,

1)MM02 in MRP4 view you will get the ind/collective indicator select it as per your requirement ROH and HELB.

2)Planning strategy change to 10

3)Maintain lot size as EX

4)Item category group (NORM) on the Sales Organization screen

5)Availability group 02 - individual will display all the sale orders and it will put procurement proposal individually for all the sale order.

6)For sales order run MRP fist in MD50 then run MD02 it will work for you.

For reorder you need to define lot size and reorder in material master then run MD01 or MD03 then it will work for you.

Hope clear to you.

MTS and Reorder point planning are 2 different things (first understand that)

in MTS you need to put the PIR in MD61, in reorder planning, reorder point quanity work as an demand generator. so first be clear what you need, weather u need the MTS or reorder.

and if you want MTS with sales order consideration go for strategy 40 not 10.

Dear Pravin,

I want to go for reorder point planning but will the unrestricted stock get allocated to sales order once we run the MRP.

My requirement.

eg.

Unrestricted stock - 50 nos

Sales order 1 - 20 nos

sales order 2 - 10 nos

Reorder point - 25 nos.

Quantity to be produced once reorder point is hit - 200 nos

Now when we run MRP following should occur

--> First 20 nos should get allocated to Sales order

--> Second 10 nos should get allocated to sales order

--> Now the Reorder point has hit and hence a new order should be generate for 200 nos for production.

Can we configure the the MRP likewise, kindly advise. If yes how?

Waiting for your suggestions.

Thanks

Vikram

Use MRP type "V1", Reorder Point = 25 and Fixed Lotsize 'FX" = 200. This should work for you. But can explain why 200nos production is it fixed batch production?
