ALV Different fonts in different printers

Hello All,

I have developed report with ALV list display. Report output is fine at our locations on all the printers.

End user is at different location and he is getting output with very small font..

At our location all the printers are with device type HPLJ4000 and device type at the Enduser's location is HPLJ4.

To further isolate the issue we changed device type to what enduser is using at out location and gave us small font..

In brief, on the Printer HPLJ4000 output is fine, and with HPLJ4 font is small. Is there a way I can control this programatically without changing the device type. Enduser is not willing to change the device type as it may effect other printings.

Hi,

Well the Problem is quite stranged, and should not happen. If the O/P is coming good at your end then it should be a Printer issue only.

Look for the OSS Note for this Printer Type or look for HP Site also.....

Thanks for the Quick reply.. I was just wondering, if that is the case, printer should behave same for all the outputs on SAP (Smart forms, SAP Scripts, and other ALV reports and Classical report).

Everything else is working fine itseems.

Any other suggestions.

You are right but it do happens sometimes.........

Ask them to send the PDF from the spool List generated by this report...If that is OK then it is the Problem with Printer Only.....Nothing at all.....
