Can i create index on VBEP with BANFN and BNFPO???

Dear All,

In my report I need to hit VBEP to get Sales Document-Schedule Line Data, but I have Purchase Requisition (BANFN) and Purchase Requisition Item Number (BNFPO) to retrieve the VBEP. As both BANFN and BNFPO is not a proper key, itu2019s taking time to execute the query.

But I need to use the VBEP in my report, I am planning to create a secondary index on VBEP with the index KEY as MANDT, BANFN and BNFPO. So please let me know is there any problem in creating secondary index with respect to standard SAP procedure.

Many Thanks,

Raghu Posani.

Instead of creating a new secondary index please a try to use avaliable primary or secondary index.

Also, check in quality and production system , there are many case that some extra secondary indexes are avaliable there due to requirement.

Hope this may help you.

Do not create a new index for just a single report. Try other performance optimization tips.

Hi Raghu,

Please check with Basis Guys before creating Index..

In Production server they will restrict only certain Indexe's..

Check any index's Using the BANFN and BNFPO in table VBEP..if so try to force that index..

check the performance of the program in DB05 and usage of VBEP table..and then create index..
