We are considering letting our users use the ByD Outlook Add-In to enable service requests in ByD to show up in their Outlook Calendar.
My concern with any client-side sync tool is the likelihood of synchronisation errors - and associated user confusion - and the impact this may have on our in-house ByD support team. Our users increasingly consume their mail from their mobile phones - and so a further concern is that our field service users are unlikely to have the Windows Outlook Add-In open often enough for the sync to be useful to them.
It would be great to have a chat with someone from the ByD development team who looks after the Outlook Add-In to better understand it's pros and cons, what the future roadmap looks like etc - before we open it up to our user base.
