Alert maintainance

Hi experts,

I have a requirement, in which alerts need to be sent to corresponding persons whenever an event occured.

Ex: When user U1 done event E1, it need to be notified to some X1,X2 based on their roles.

Can someone suggest any standard solution for this alert maintainance which exist in SAP.

This can be done using workflow.

Please consult your workflow guy to add an event of sending alert to the users when an event E1 is triggered.
