Restoring Button Icons in ITS 640

Hello,

We'd like to use icons rather than text in the buttons for our webgui transactions in Integrated ITS 640. Note 1148291 seems to provide a parameter for this but may only apply to ITS 7.x+. Is ITS 640 an intermediate version with no option for button icons?

Thanks,

Doug

Hi Doug,

I believe the only solution will be to use Firefox. If you use IE - it will only use the Tradeshow theme- if you use Firefox then you can only use the Enjoy theme.

Please have a look at SAP note 709038 (SAP Integrated ITS); an excerpt:

"...

Other differences

...

Exceptions:

- In Release 6.40 (NetWeaver 2004) , the new design is only

available for the Internet Explorer. As of Release 7.00

(NetWeaver 2004s), it is also available for Firefox and

Mozilla Browser. For this reason, the Enjoy design continues

to be supported for Mozilla and Firefox in Release 6.40 (but

only for these browsers, and even then only for this design,

and not Tradeshow).

- Furthermore, in Release 6.40, there are some Internet

Application Components (that is, Web applications that build

on the ITS), which continue to be displayed with the "Enjoy"

design. Of course, the "Enjoy" design continues to be

supported for these applications.

Hi Doug,

Also have a look at SAP note 710719 (SAP GUI family and New Visual

Designs), the section: "SAP GUI for HTML"

Hi Doug,

The only other option - is to use ITS 6.20 to connect to a WAS 6.40 which is using a 6.40 Kernel and using the parameters in the WEBGUI service to change the look and feel of the service.

~menu2002 1/ 0 (Streamline/Enjoy)

~webgui_theme 2002 / 99 (Text Buttons/Icon's)

I believe you already know this - but said I would update with this information anyhow just in case.

Regards,

Oisí
