Hello Ravi

The most logical answer would be one Shipping Point. SAP recommends this option only if the Plants are in close vicinity to each other. You have to take the question into consideration and not any scenarios. What was your answer?

Hi Ravi

If 4 plants are in close Proximity then you need only 1 shipping point .So you should select answer which has option A which is 1

Hi Ravi,

Its ok but what about the answer, and what was the SAP reaction to this and if you have attended the exam then what you proposed and is that correct or they have different solution for this.

If you have answer then share with us.

Separate them by address. If they have a different address, then you will want a different Shipping Point. Simple as that

What are the options given for this question ?? Why I am asking is that there is no specific answer for this; it varies depending upon the scenario, proximity, place where delivery is created etc., and that is why, everybody has shared their views based on their experience.

thanks

Hi

From the academic and logical point of view the most correct answer for this question should be 1

But this is scenario dependent

During org structure creation we can propose this 1 as the best soln to client and he will have the final say on this

Even all the other choices are also correct

Hi ravi,

You can have the following options.

If all the 4 plants belong to one city and with in one area then it will be better to have one shipping point or if all are in different places then it will be better to have 4 points as there will be transfers between these plants and if all plants dispatch goods to customers.

Hope this will do.

HI,

If all plants are in to same business i.e.Domestic then its beter to have One Shipping Point

If Different business then beter to have different Shipping Point .

For repoting it will helpful..

You can have one each shipping point for exports, domestic and STO for all plants.

Also as you would know, all deliveries are based on shipping point and hence, you can plan based on the scenario demanded. If this is not feasible, then the same logic can be applied per plant. That is in one plant, you can have one each shipping point for domestic, exports and STO

thanks
