Dear All

May I get help..

System stock is Zero, but commitment showing against Intransit Qty

In STO supplying site has delivered the stock but receiving site GR is not yet done. If receiving site create SO/STO will it commit the stock even stock is zero before inword.

And also let me know about Return STO case also( is it behave same as above or not)? and what is the best practice.

Hi,

It is caused by your availability check. Please check in customizing of STO which checking rule is used and consider a change if required.

what exactly the settings in checking rule as daily requirement and what is the standard process for best practice

( whether it should commit intransit qty or not) and also return case?

Hi,

It depends on business requirements whether you want to consider in transit stock as available stock. If the in transit only takes a day, you might want this but overall, I would not recommend this.

In standard, checking rule takes in transit stock as available stock.

Regarding returns. I always set up return STO as a normal STO but then with delivering and receiving plant in opposite direction. And thus takes checking rule RP and in your case, it would consider stock in transit as available.
