Dear,
Milestone confirmation :-During milestone confirmation always previous opeartions will be confirmed when you do the confirmation for next operation. It means if 20 is confirmed then 10 will be confirmed automatically
Confirmation required :-
Normally in std SAP (OP67)for PP01 control key, against confirmations field - "2" -"Confirmation required" means you have to confirm all opertion 10 20 30.
If you enter a confirmation at order header level, the system confirms all the operations that have a control key in which confirmation is optional or necessary. The quantities confirmed in the operations are proportional to the quantities confirmed in the order header.
Confirmation not possible :-
Some part numbers , user dont want confirmation point . So u declared as a phantom assembly .So if change the control key with confirmation not possible indicator . While doing confirmation is not allowed to confirm.
Hope clear to you.

Hi,
We can have the following cases as examples or each type..
1)Milestone confirmation (not ps/pm) -
This is useful normally where you have quality checks defined in the routing as a milestone
would confirm the completion of all the operations prior to that. e.g.. heat treatment (HT) in gear
manufacturing. For sending material to HT, you must complete all previous opertations. using
milestone, you need not report all the previous operations. Confirmation at HT will confirm all
operations prior to that. But this does not call for a check point.
2)Confirmation required -
This is a check point for further processing of material in the system. Confirmation is mandatory.
3)Confirmation not possible -
Obvious confirmation is in loop. (not possible / required). Confirmation not mandatory.
4)Confirmation possible but not neccessary -
Choice for reporting the operations. Confirmation not mandatory.

Hi Kumar,
*Control key is basically marked for the opeartions in the routing, so these control keys controls the various activities of the opearation.
Milestone confirmation means if you confirm this opearation , all the opearations prior to this will be automatically confirmed.
Confirmation Required means you need to confirm that opearation. without confiming you can not confirm other opearations.
Confirmation not possible: Not possible.
Thanks

Please follow..
1)milestone confirmation (not ps/pm):
If you set this option, an operation cannot be confirmed untl the prev operations are confirmed..
2)confirmation required:
If you set this option, YOu cannot proceed further without confirming the operation manually.i.e no auto cnf
3)confirmation not possible:
If you set this option, Then confirmation cannot be done. You can have this option for operations that are not confirmable or you can restrict confirmation of some operations..
4.confirmation possible but not neccessary
If you set this option, u r trying to mean that confirmation as optional..
these are in the system to give us flexibilty as per our requirements and with respect to the situations in a production environment logically..
