Hello everyone,
I'm migrating a VS2003 project to VS2008 and I've run into an issue with CR
When creating a new reportdocument, the application raises the exception as follows:
"the type initializer for crystaldecisions.crystalreports.engine.reportdocument' threw an exception"
I've read a lot of feedback regarding deployment issues that generate this error, usually around the activation key in merge modules. The fact is that this is not happening on the deployment, but on the development box.
Does anyone have anything I should look like?
Thanks
-Rob
Officially, only CR 2008 (12.0) and CR 10.5 (ships with .NET 2008) is supported in .NET 2008. I have seen customers use CR XI r2 with the latest SPs, but it's one of those; may work, may not and you have no escalation path to QA / R&D for any fixes, etc.

Are you using Crystal Reports XI Release 1?
