TPM28 or TPM15M can either of them perform GL entries upon execution of a reclassification?

I have a client who entered TPM28 or TPM15M and wanted to know if either of them perform GL entries upon execution of a reclassification? They are looking to reclass a money market item from long-term to short-term and when entering item, it failed to create a journal entry.

Thank you for taking the time to review my enquiry with me, Gustavo. The screenshot that you provided doesnt really show the reclass position; ie the entry being reclass from L/T to S/T or S/T to Cash equivalent. Thats the basis of my question, when you enter such a transaction, is there a TR Tcode that perform a general ledger posting for the reclass?

Hi Ade Ade,

My example was on TPM28.

TPM15M requieres TPM18, it does a Gl reclasification depending on configuration.

Check TPM13 after TPM15M is done to see if Update Types are Fixed or Scheduled. Here is an example of TPM15M which i have not run TPM18.

Kind Regards

Hello Gustavo,

It looks like the functionality never worked on our end so it would need to be an update to the config.

Thanks for all your assistance and insight.

From your knowledge what would be the proper T-codes for execution from beginning to end?

IMG: Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Accounting -> Transfer Account Assignment Reference -> Update Types -> Assign Update Types for Account Assignment Reference Transfer

AAREFTR1 and AAREFTR2 (or all of them) should be marked as Relevant for Posting

IMG: Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Accounting -> Link to Other Accounting Components -> Indicate Update Types as Relevant to Posting

For TPM15M consider

IMG: Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Accounting -> Valuation Class Transfer -> Update Types -> Assign Update Types for Valuation Class Transfer

Kind Regards

Hello Gustavo,

Thank you for your response. So TPM13 is for realized gains/losses. They are just looking to have the item reclassed from short-term to long-term or short-term to cash equivalent. But to answer your question, they did run TPM18 and the system just washed the entries and everything netted to zero which really doesn't make sense.

Please advise, thanks.

My mistake. TPM28 makes the posting. Here is the screenshot.

Check

...... -> Link to Other Accounting Components -> Indicate Update Types as Relevant to Posting

Hi Ade,

Have you run TPM18 after TPM28/TPM15M ?

Check TPM13 ans see if there are any flows in status P.

Kind Regards
