Hi Friends

We do all the process for CATS and then finally release information to HR using CAT6 transaction code.

What is the next process after CAT6?? What is the role of a portal in this? How you use portal and what exactly it is?

Can you please explain me in detail...

Using CATS ESS Application on portal the employees can enter time ...which will go into the CATSDB table in the SAP R/3 System...

The purpose of the portal is to bring different applications like backend data, R3, BW .....etc..

in a single point of access. Using single sign on you can logon once in portal and can access all other systems without logging again. As portal is a browser-access, it is easy for all using that.

Thanks for the information given. I am now able to understand to some extend...

But can you also tell me ..."A person has recorded his timing from 9am to 6pm...now at the end of the day CAT6 is scheduled and this info is sent to HR"....then

1. What happens exactly?

2. WIll this employee's remuneration calculated on the same day?

Please also help me reg this...
