CTS+ and seperate NWDI system

Currently I have one double stack systems (ABAP + JAVA) that we are looking to do development on. We are also looking at installing an NWDI instance. Can this SEPARATE NWDI instance still be used with CTS+ if the CTS+ is located in another instance? I am having trouble finding documentation that says this. Thanks!

[This document|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f0f75302-bf8b-2b10-d991-ee42c8de8eec] suggests that it is not possible. You have to specify the address of CTS+ server in NWDI configuration which can only be done once.

I am open to correction though.

Hi,

the previous answer is correct. You can only use one CTS+ System with your NWDI. This is because you have to create the destination on NWDI with exactly the name sap.com/com.sap.tc.di.CTSserver as documented in here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/b7/c05c7d89054705bf890bf292aad997/frameset.htm.

There are no plans to change this behaviour in CMS. But we plan to provide an option to create several destinations for the CM Services which are first delivered with SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0. Anil,

Thank you but that doesn't entirely answer my question. If I am planning to have one NWDI server with multiple tracks, is it possible for me to hook up a different CTS+ system to each track? For instance, if I have a track for xRPM Portal I want it to use one CTS+ system and then I have a seperate track for a BW Portal I would want to use a seperate CTS+ system for that.
