Communication Station 5.0

Dear All,

I have installaed CRM 7.0 ABAP stack on Windows x64 and Oracle environment.

Also CRM mobile client components are required especially Communication Station 5.0.

I have installed Comm station 5.0 according to the installtion guide. In post installtion steps Setup for data synchronization need to be done. In QmtConfig tool we need to add SAP destination i.e. CRM system for the integration between CRM server and Comm station. The option for adding the system is not available. Hence I am not able to integrate comm station and CRM server.

Do I need to add/install any other component to work this scenario?

This has been held up for more than four day. Please let me know the solution ASAP.

Thanks for the reply.

I have installed J2re 1.4.2_09 for 32 bit version of Windows on a normal Windows PC.

Still it is giving me the same error i.e. Requisite version of JRE not found.

Tejas, only AMD x64 is supported as a 64-bit platform for the CommStation - does this match with your hardware spefications?

Software requirements for Commstation:

Only English international version of the following is supported. For Windows 2000, Service Pack 3 or higher is required:

u2022 Windows 2000 Professional

u2022 Windows 2000 Server

u2022 Windows 2000 Advanced Server

u2022 Windows 2000 Data Center Server

u2022 Windows XP Professional

u2022 Windows 2003 Server

Communication station can be installed on 32 bit and 64 bit processors for all the above operating system versions. However, for Windows 2003 Server, the communication station:

- Can be installed on 64 bit AMD64 platform

- Cannot be installed on a 64 bit IA64 platform

Hi,

I followed the note you mentioned.

Still I am facing the same problem.

I am not able to add CRM system in the QMT Config tool.

Also according to the installation guide, to install CRM Mobile client components the required version of JRE is 1.4.2_09 which is not available for Win x64 bit server.

Do I need to install all these components on a Normal Windows machine? For 32 bit machine, when I try to install CRM Mobile client components it gives following error:

Requisite JRE version not found. Consultthe Installation guide for more information.

According to CRM Mobile Client installation guide 7.0., the required versions of JRE and J2sdk are as follows:

SUN Java 2 Software Development Kit version 1.4.2_02 to 1.4.2_09

Sun Java 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition Version 1.4.2_07 to 1.4.2_09

with the following link for the download:

Please suggest a workaround.

Hi Tejas,

You need to install the CRM Mobile on a normal Windows Machine, i.e 32-bit machine.

Please ensure that you have installed any of the JRE version 1.4.2_02 to 1.4.2_09.

In case if you have any older JRE installed, please uninstall it.

why do you install CRM 7.0 together with comm station 5.0? This sounds quite strange...

Anyway: Check note 1036377 which seems to fix your problem even it is only valid until version 2007/6.0.
