Hi
I would like to know SAP behaviour in the following scneario:
I create sales order with delivery date as 01.04.2008(past), but availability check confirms the current date as available date that is 08.04.2008. The same is transferred to MRP with delivery date as 08.04.2008.
But my client wants 01.04.2008 as delivery date in MRP not 08.04.2008.
How to do it?
Hi,
In OPPQ click on Order Start in past button and tick the check box...now see the results.

Hi Sudhir,
Please check the following things
Check in trx VOV8, Select your sales order type see the details of this. In detail you will have Requested delivery date/Pricing date/purchase order date- Check lead time in days & check the box Propose delivery date & Propose PO date.( Tick mark )
Is lead time day field is blank or 1/0 days? Confirm this
Thanks
Kundan
Sudhar,
MRP does not 'know' about delivery dates. It works to Material Availability dates.
The business process your client is asking for is common in older legacy systems that do not deal with transportation and delivery scheduling. The implication is that he does not want to consider the duration of delivery or transportation, and that the delivery date in SAP should represent the date the parts will appear in stock and also the date the parts will be shipped. If this is the case, you can turn off delivery and transportation scheduling. In this case, the Material availability date, which is passed as a requirement to MRP, will always be equal to the Delivery date.
For this config, IMG>SD>Basic Functions>Delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling>Define scheduling by sales document type. Select the relevant ordertypes, untick delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling.
