Did you mean:

find the age of the raw material in the inventory which is not consumped

Hi All,

We have the requirement to calculate the ageing of the raw material in the inventory which is not consumed for 30 days and 60 days and 90 days

we use the logic age = GR date of the raw material To till date that lay in the inventory without consumption.

my question is. we do lot of GR for a material and put in the same place in the storage location. and consume partial amount for the production (GI )

So how we can calculate the age of the material with refernce to GR. Since wedonot know what material is used which is received by which GR no.,

Thanks

VRaj

Hi Mangal ,

In MC46, we can get the material list that not consumed for past periods.ie.

if you enter 60 days, system thru the material list that not consumed for last 60 days

But my requirement is ,

find the age i.e from the GR DATE of the material to 30, 60, 90 days , that the material not consumed ,which there in the inventory simply.

Raj,

Is your material batch managed? If batch managed then only this is possible & that too certain extent.

Dear,

Selection date is there.

Else use MB51 with 261 movement with all raw materials as seletion with posting date.

If there is no/zero posting for that selection posting date means age for it.

There is no transaction that lists the age of a material. but using batch managment with shelf life management allows you to monitor the shelf life experiation.

So transsaction MB5M to check it.

Or else create Z report with MSEG table and mivement type combination.

Hi Brahmankar,

we are not using the batch management. but we maintian the shelf life expire date forall the materials

can we use this alone to pick the age of the materials

Dear,

Without batch management it is not possible.

You can refer my previous reply to map this requirement.

Hope clear your doubt.

Hi Brahmanakr,

i checked the report no that u replied . from that i got a logic that

after recived the material with particular GR , suppose 1000 nos. then we need to check what aare the GI made for first 30days . if the sum of GI is 800 qty. then we can say 200 nos are not consumed.

Dear,

Yes logic is right if GRN is 1000 qty by 101 and 800 is consumption then 200 is unconsumption.

One more thing I would like to say is thet go to IW3M enter the component and excute it you will get consumption period base.

Or else use 101 and 261 movement type variant in MB51 with period you want that will work for you.

Hope it will solve your issue.

Try in MC.A..Here you have the option of including the "last receipt" in the layout...

Hope this helps..
