Posting date in rows different from Posting date in document

Hi Experts,

While we are in current posting period i.e April and some postings we posted by setting previous period 'March' as current. Even though the document posting date and journal header posting date is in previous month why is the row posting dates in current month.

Is this the system normal behaviour or is it possible to have the header level posting date in rows too in this scenario

Please suggest

hi shaikh,

Row level posting date,due date,document dates of JE will flow as per header level dates of JE which will

be as per posting,due & document dates of transactions.

I have checked posting,due,document dates entered in header level data of JE will get copied

to row level.

Hence check JE's of transactions after you changed Document settings of JE.

If problem not get solved raise support ticket to SAP.

the wiki helps to understand somethings but in my case i have blocked the user editing posting date per row even then why does the system puts todays date in the journal entry when i select the different posting period

Issue what you are telling occurs at header/row level ?

Hi Jeyakanthan,

the issue is at row level not at the header level and to my surprise the row level posting dates are taken into general ledger report irrespective of the document level posting date.

Row level posting,document,due dates will change according dates entered in header level of JE.

But i'm not sure posting date will show current date in row level eventhough it will be set in previous periods for JE through other transactions.

Thru form settings document tab you can change posting date,due date & document date.

Normal system behaviour to show current date as default,but it will post JE's of transactions

according to date entered in it.

How can i change the posting dates in case of Incoming Payments,Outgoing Payments because user enters only one posting date in the document and after posting only i can see the journal which is having current date even if i have selected the different posting period

is there any work around for this.
