BI installation information required

Hello,

I have to install SAP NW componenet BI 7.0.

So what options i need to select during BI Installation.

Which option i have to choose like.

(1) What should i install ABAP+JAVA or ABAP or JAVA AS?

(2) Why EP core is required?

(3) With EP Core, is there any need to install EP?

(4) why we have to install EPCore or EP with BI installation?

When i checked the installation guide it is mentioning that

Only valid for: BI Java

SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence Java Components (BI Java)

You also have to install SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java (AS Java), EP Core (EPC) and

SAP NetWeaver Portal (EP).

End of: BI Java

So i am very confuse with it. Suggest me ideal way to installation.

If is there any blog or document for post installation kindly provide me.

Hi Singh,

You have to select ABAP+JAVA for installing BI.

For installing BI7.0 you have to select(Check mark) ASABAPASJAVAEP+BIJAVA.

Hi,

For confusion regarding why Java to be installed, you've to follow the master guide, to check what IT scenario your customer wants to implement. depending on the 'IT scenario' needed for you, accordingly you have to choose the required usage type.

For EP/EPC check SAP note 982502.
