Doubt about ERP 6.0 and NW 7.0 SP-Stack

Hello,

I have doubt regarding SP-Stack of ERP 6.0 and NW 7.0, while i am checking SP-Stack for ERP 6.0 it is showing latest SP is 15 and while checking NW 7.0 Stack it is showing latest SP 17.

Is there any diffrance between SP Stacks.

As we have have ECC 6.0 and also NW 7.0 Component also, so is there any need to download seprate SP-Stack or download SP-Stack of ERP 6.0 is enough.

Please suggest, answers will be highly appreciate.

Hi,

Even though ECC6 is based on NW7, but it has additional functionality specific to ECC. so the SPS is released specific to the product. For NW7 (BW, Portal etc..) SPS18 is already released.. where as the SPS for ECC is 15.

However, you've to see the inside contents of SP-stack to find out what version of SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS etc are included. I checked, in ECC6 SPS15 it contains SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS version SP18 (which is also there in NW7 SPS18)..

For NW7 (BI, portal etc) SPS no# comes from technical component like SAP_BASIS.

For ECC, its taken from application components (EA-*)

So if i will download SP-Stack for ERP 6.0 (including netweaver components) then it will be sufficient for Both ERP as well as NW System.

right?
