Hi!

You need to use Stock taking in DTW and repair Price list for item mater data.

Finaly, use Inventory Transactions Initial Quantities\ Inventory Posting in order to reconcile Price and quantity

Thanks for you reply. I understand how to use the Stocktaking to get the quantities in now, but when you say to use the Inventory transactions Initial Qantities to reconcile price and quantity...can you be more specific on what needs to be done on this step?

Check this SAP Note: 864113 How to enter initial quantities for Stock via the DI or DTW

Hi!

If your Items master have already had price or Item cost. You only need use DTW stock taking.

After that, you choose group or Warehouse that storge those items and click reconcile i Inventory transaction.

I have Standard cost on the item, that i would like to use as the Average cost for each item imported. I have imported all item quantities using StockTaking in the DTW. But, I don't see anything in Initial Quantities, etc. On the Inventory tracking tab, the items that i imported are flagged as "Counted", but I don't see the quantities and I need to know where to enter the cost?

You need to go to Stock Posting tab and click on reconcile to post this count.

There are no quantities showing on the Inventory Posting tab. I chose a small warehouse and hit reconcile and none of the quantities appear on the item info. Am i missing a step?

I just realized you haven't done the DTW properly. When you successfully upload oStockTaking, it should show quantities not only counted. Make sure your quantities are number without any format and save your file as tab delimited text.

You could use oStockTaking or oMaterialGenEntry to post initial on hand.

Thanks,
