Serial number status EDEL ESTO in SD

Hi guys,

I already spent two days on searching a proper answer on serial number statuses. I have a problem with system status on serial number master data, when I try to put on delivery a serial number which was returned from customer. I get an error message due to status EDEL ESTO on serial number.

BS013 System status EDEL is active (EQU 10009522)

IO201 Serial number 333444555666845 cannot be used here

I know that I have an option to change system status manually through IQ02 transaction, but that is not an option, because system should run automatically. We create a sales order, delivery and invoice automatically through the interface. It can hapeened that there is a return made (also over interface), so the good is returned to the stock and it could be sold again in the next step.

How can I prevent that the status is set to EDEL ESTO instead to ESTO only?

Hello Matija

Try this:

go to the trx BS22, search the status EDEL. Then , you double-click on short text.

Search operation PMS8 and set flag "enable" o "warning". Whit this setting, You can post a delivery whit status ESTO EDEL.

I solved the problem. I also have to change to warning on PSM3. But it works.

There is only one plant and PGR is done (also the credit note is issued). Everything is fine except EDEL ESTO system status.

Hi,

I had the same effect Equipment had the statut EDEL ESTO with stock type 06 (in transit)

This is because a stock transfer was done between 2 plants delivery PGI but the good receipt was not done.

After the good receipt done the status was changed to ESTO and I was able to use it again.

I also find (and nowe I'm doing some research) transaction BS33 where it is possible to set something with that statuses.

Any suggestions about that?

Thanks for the answers, I already know that. I make a return to the warehouse with return delivery, which is posted to the accounting (also Credit note is issued). Only problem is, that the system status on serial number master data is not set ti ESTO only but to EDEL ESTO (so both of them are active). It is imposible to put this serial number on new delivery.

Hi,

First delete the assignment of the serial number to a old delivery and then you can add that serial number to a new delivery. as you know a serial number can be assigned to only one delivery at any point of time and the same is updated in SAP tables.

Hi,

This error means that the serial number which you are using is already delivered (EDEL).

So you cannot use this serial number again. But if you want to use the serial number again, take the returns of the material with the return delivery. In this return delivery give this serial number. So automatically the status will be changed to ESTO(in stock).
