Depreciation Area in USD to adjust for Inflation accounting

Hi Friends,

We have a business requirement wherein the client wants to have a depreciation area in USD that shows the values adjusted for inflation,i.e. without taking the inflationary values into account.

For example, 1 USD= 70 INR. However, because of inflationary conditions, the value of an asset that is 100,000 INR is not actually 100,000/70 in USD, but rather 100,000/100, so that value in USD shows 1000 rather than 1443.

We do not have any currency besides local currency and group currency. Whatever is posted in local currency is translated to group currency at M rate( which is what is maintained in OB22 for group currency rates).

The company code is live and we can't define hard currency additionally. Therefore, we can not define a hard currency area in parallel dep area currency settings.

We have a dep area in USD, but it shows the M rate.

Is there a solution to maintain USD values adjusted for inflation? Please advise.

Regards,

Varun
