B1Studio is missing SQL Server 2016 when connecting to Company

We are using SAP Business One 9.3 PL04 and SQL Server 2016. I installed the B1 Studio distributed with the pl04 upgrade package (both the 32 and 64 bit versions), but when I am trying to connect to our server when working on a workflow, the connection fails with: "Unable to access SBO-Common database"

The databases are correctly listed when I use the Database Name dropdown, so the SLD is available, but I cannot choose "SQL 2016" for the server type, because only the 2008, 2012, 2014 and HANA is selectable.

This way, we cannot design any workflow.

  • The SQL Server Native Driver 2012 is installed on the computer
  • The client OS is a Windows 10, so the ODBC driver is also available
  • I can use the SAP Business One client and can connect to the company db without any problem (SQL Server 2016 is available on the company selection screen)
  • Both the Workflow services are running on the server and using the ControlCenter I could navigate to the workflow manager UI and set the Workflow user's password (Data access says Connected)
  • The manager user's password is correct

Hi Szabolcs Kelemen,

The issue is documented in SAP Note 2636509 and has already been fixed in SAP Business One Version 9.3 PL05.

Therefore, kindly help to test the issue in the latest available version and patch.

Hope it helps!
