Delete Account

Hello

I am trying to delete a title accounte from the chart of accounts. But i am unable to do it, i dont get the option to do it.

The database doesnt have any transactions yet. I have already delete other accounts, but i am having the problem with 3 accounts.

Any ideas?

Hi,

You can delete a GL Acount using the 'advanced' menu and chosing

'delete'. However, this does not work when the GL-acount has been

used in transactions. It then is no longer possible to delete an

account.

If this is not the case then you can log a ticket with SAP Support.

Its a title account, so it doesnt have any transactions.

Any ideas?

Hi

Are you sure you are under Financial >Edit COA .

If you go by Financial> COA then there is no option for delete.

I just did a test and I am able to delete it . Active Account will be deleted automatically if you delete the title account .

Similarly I can do it by as said by Vikas .

Tested on 2007A patch 42 .

I am Sure i dont get the option to delete the account.

I made a query, to compare all the fields between the account that i am unable to delete and another account that i am able to delete.

They have 2 fields that are different, FIXED, LOCMANTRAN.

Any ideas??

Can you also confirm whether the LOCMANTRAN is for the title account you unable to delete or the one which are able to delete ?

If the LOCMANTRAN is for the account which you are unable to delete than its correct as a control account cannot be deleted.

You also mentioned that you are facing the similar issue with the 3 other accounts?

Can you confirm the following information :

1) Are you using segmented accounts?

2) Are these Title Accounts under which there is a Active Account which is a Control Account? If yes, then how many control accounts under each Title account which you cannot delete?

Yes i am usign segmented accounts.

I have already delete all the accounts that are under this title accounts, with no problem.

You may try to run query:

Select CardCode from ocrd t0 where t0.DebPayAcct = '[%0\]'

Change all BP with that account as control account. Then you can delete them.

Have you restarted B1 before deleting?

If you want to delete title accounts, make sure no sub level accounts under them if those accounts have transaction before.

Hi

Which level ? IS it first level title account or 2nd level .

When you go to Financial>Edit Chart of account

Select the title account and Right click -Delete account

You should be able to delete. I think to remove level 1 ,you have to remove all label but not sure .

Please test it in your test environment .
