Greyed out line items

Dear Gurus,

When I create Sales orders, I observe that lines having item header material reference and third pary item lines are being greyed out. What does that mean?

Hi

In the case of third party items, the lines are editable till the PO is created for that line item. Once the PO is created, the line item becomes grayed out.

In the case of main item and subitems, the subitems will be grayedout because of their dependency on the main item.

In third party orders, the items are not greyed out.. are u working in standard IDES model or in the client system...

probably when a PO is released to a vendor then in that case it might grey oiut. but unless the PR/PO is created, it does not grey out..
