Does BO XI R2 (any service pack) support creating a Universe from SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services cube?

SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services was supported starting from XI3.0.
In XI R2 we supported the 2000 version.

Thanks for the quick reponse. So, just to follow up, I would need to upgrade to XI R3 in order to build a universe against a MSAS 2005 cube, correct?

Yes,according to the supported platform you need to upgrade to BOXIR3 to use MSAS 2005.
