catch error " item already existe" in FM call transaction

Hi

i use FM

( CALL TRANSACTION 'IL01' USING BDCDATA MODE 'N' UPDATE 'S' MESSAGES INTO MESSTAB ) but i don't find Error in the table MESSTAB if item already existe in SAP.

hwo can i do to catch this type of error. ?
