Multiple target for same group

Hello all,

Can we assign multiple targets to the same group of business system in SLD? For example consider the below scenario,

Dev -> Q1 -> Q2-> Q3-> Prod

Q1, Q2 and Q3 are all for Quality for different kind of testing, if we group everything as different group and target, its quite easy. I would like to group Dev as one group and all quality (Q1, Q2 and Q3 as one group) and Prod as one group. If this is the case, can we assign Q1, Q2 and Q3 in a single group. If yes, how shall we go ahead for transport. Please explain.

Hi Prasad,

As far as my knowledge, you can not have source and target from same business system group.

You can certainly have multiple sources and multiple targets, But the source ad targets have to be from different groups. In one of my client scenario, we had different QA clients (Integration Testing Client, User Acceptance Testing Client). I did group all the QA systems together in one business system group.

So, Dev system had multiple targets and Prod system had multiple sources.

Hope this helps you.

Hi Nagesh

This is exactly what I want. I do have the same situation. Single dev, multiple Q and single P. I have proposed both the methods, (multiple Q instances with multiple grps and targets & single Q instance with single group and multiple target as what you have told) to the the client. Let me decide after considering their views too. Thank you for the help. BTW, if you have any additional help, please provide.
