StockTransfer Order across the Store Room

Hi,

Can we do a StockTransfer Order from one store room to another store room in the same plant?what would be the transaction and the movement type?

So you mean to say directly go to MB1b and with Mvt ty 311 do the stock transfer.

BUt for interplant STO we create PR and PO so i believe we will have to do it here as well.

There is no need to do a PO for this. This is just a transfer posting from storage location to storage location. Po is usually created when you have to send an external instruction for a vendor( or plant) to send a material. It is not required in your case.

in 4.7 it is not possible

Hi,

The requirement of yours can be dealt in two ways.

1.Direct transfer from one storage location to other using one step.

At MIGO transaction ---Transfer posting and moment type 311 and provide other details and transfer .

2.Two step procedure.

Using the moment type 313---remove the stock from storage.

Using the moment type 315 place the stock in the required storage.

1. create a requisition

2. APprove requisition.

3 Create PO

4. MB1b transaction with mvt type 311 the donating store room posts the material.

no need of requistion. Just a transfer posting using MB1B is required.

Why do you want to create PR>>PO?

I am using 4.7 SAP version. I could not find the last step "stock transfer between storage location".

Do, you want us to configure that or will that be available already?

If we can do the STO by 2 step movement type then how exactly i need to proceed?

In 4.7 this option is not avilable

you have to transfer through material posting MB1B with mvt type 311.

Please have look at the OSS note numbers - 598799,608560.

Otherwise as suggested by freinds above you can use Tcode MB1B and use (mvt type 313 +315 for two step) and 311 for one step.

If my understanding correct are you asking you want to create STO between two storage locations with in a plant ?

if yes it is possibe

for this you need to set up configuration in SPRO

Transaction OLME>Purchase Order>Set up Stock Transport Order-->Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations

As per standard SAP, you cant create the STO within the plant....

But you can transfer the item with two step movement type...
