Hi Folks
I could not find anything on how to define a Subplan and a Planning session from the ground up. I'm trying to use STS of BPS for BI IP.
1. what infoobjects are used by these?
2. when must subplan be 1st defined? Can BI IP not use any subplan to plan?
Hope to get some clues.
best regards
S Patel
Search the forum, there are many posts related to STS. Also, check link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/b6/92bc7479fb11d5b3df0050dadfb23f/frameset.htm

Hi
There is a section on Executing the customizing.
It says:
"General Settings
Subplans
1. Select the option Define Subplan and choose Execute.
You get to the view maintenance for subplans.
2. Enter the names of the subplans that are relevant for your company."
But my question is what is the infoobject of subplan?
And what are the steps to Define a subplan. It just mentioned 'choose Execute' and a view maintenance for subplans.
Hope you can clarify further. Thanks.

There is no infoobject required for defining the subplan. Defining a subplan is just like maintaining a z-table where you need to enter the name of the subplan and the description.
For eg. if your client wants to implement OPEX Planning and CAPEX Planning, then you can create two separate subplans for them say ZSP_OPEX & ZSP_CAPEX.
Then for each subplan client may want to implement Budget & forecast planning, that you can define using planning session.
Hope you are clear.
