Future of BPC SQL

Hi,

Does anybody know if there will be any major enhancements on BPC SQL in BPC 7.5/8.0 MS version?

I'm implementing BPC MS and I found there is much financial intelligence behind BPC SQL. Basically, I'm a technical guy. Yet the more I understand about finance, the more I realize the power of BPC SQL.

I wonder if ABAP in BPC Netweaver can do the same stuff in a similar easy way. I hope the power of BPC SQL could be further increased in the future.

Actually both product are evolving and we hope that in 2011 actually we can have the same functionalities in both product.

So I will say that power of BPC is not staying into SQL server. The power of BPC is represent into design and capabilities of product.

Script Logic will be similar in the future for both versions M and NW even if in the background will generate other code.

If you will be in 7.0 M or NW the future will be more and less the same and actually the two products will probably be unified into near future.

Hi Sorin,

Thanks a lot for your information. I'm looking forward to the future releases and hope that NW version can be easily managed as MS version. I believe that budgeting/consolidation tool being owned by Finance, not IT, is still one of the greatest strengths.
