Help on PDP?

Hi Friends

New to SRM. Please let me know about PDP scenario.

I have gone through Help files but couldnt get complete idea

Hi,

This is mainly used for Planning system like MRP,PM ans PS

There some tables to be maitained in R/3 and org strucue in SRM as follows

in R/3

go to t.code SE16 maitain Material Groups for Purchasing Groups with profile V_T160EX

then maintain profile and logical sys in tabel V_T160PR

Create RFC user and use this user in RFC destination (Connection test)

In SRM

Create Org node for Entry channel for P. Org and Create P. Grp as inline supervisor to this P. org

and assign RFC user to this By using USERS_GEN

Responsibilities for the P.grp under responsibility tab

Its not a question which is best ? Depend up on the client requirement and existings process using by the client we can go for.

If we are implementing pdp say using APO,do we need to maintain the tables and other info as karthik described in APO system.

1. how is PO created automatically from external requirements.

2. What is the diff bet procurement of direct materials to procurement of other external requirements. What does other external requirements mean

PO's are created from the shopping cart through the BAPI
