How we can download Org Model from Production client to Dev client ?

Hi Forum,

1. How can we download Org Model from Production client to Dev client ?

2. Will this action override the existing Org model in Dev client?

3. Will corresponding BPs of Org model be generated automatically ?

4. Will this action create new Org object IDs ( org number Range) OR copy the same from Production client ?

Hi Ankush,

1. How can we download Org Model from Production client to Dev client ?

Ans- You can not download Org model from Production to Dev if you are talking about standalone CRM. If you are asking to download from R3 then too you cant download. you have to create Org model afresh or cick on COPY ECC Sales Structure under CRMMaster DataData Transfer.but this action can be done once.

2. Will this action override the existing Org model in Dev client?

Ans- CRM Standalone you have to delete Org models if any existing and in R3 download with above method will override existing model.

3. Will corresponding BPs of Org model be generated automatically ?

Ans-Standalone you will have to create and R3 download with Copy ECC method Org Model will be copied automatically from R3.

4. Will this action create new Org object IDs ( org number Range) OR copy the same from Production client ?

Ans- Both in Standalone or R3 integration you will have to create the Number Range for MOdel and assign it be it procuction or development server. CRMMaster DataBusiness PartnerIntegration Business PartnerOrganization Management--Set Up Integration with Organizational Management

Organization Model can not be transported to one client to another

If you want to download from R/3, yes..we can do during the initial load..but only for one time.

Hi,

As per my concern you can not transafer the org model from 1 client to another client. You hv to cretae it in different client.
