Issue with Storage Unit Type

Dear All,

I have configured WM For an apparel industry & am having a problem with regard to storage unit type.

The storage unit type maintained in the material master is not passing to the TO process.

Process:

The TO Creation process is done manually against the material document generated post Goods Receipt via MIGO. When i initiate the TO Process the system prompts a message "Enter the storage unit type, Message no. L3043". I have to manually maintain the storage unit type to go forward, any specific reasons as to why it does not pick from the material master.

Additionally Note i have configured Putaway & pick operations to be handled manually due to physical process requirements.

With this storage unit type problem i am having a problem when executing a BAPI

"The problem we are facing with the Function Module L_TO_CREATE_TR is that even if we have specified the Storage unit type (ltap_vb-letyp = '1'.) in the code, it gives an error saying u201CEnter the storage unit typeu201D."

Would appreciate your valuable inputs..

Pl. check whether the u have activated " Storage bin type search" to take SUT into account.

Well i already included the SUT Type as instructed. I am in the process of checking the BAPI, thanks a lot for your valuable inputs..

Dear All,

I have a query, with regard to Putaway & stock removal strategy.

Putaway Process

if i am configuring the system to handle the putaway process via manual placement, do i have to define a strategy ( storage type search , storage bin search etc). If i dont maintain a strategy the system prompts " Data for storage type search is not defined"

Additionally in movement (101) i also do tick the manual input for bin.

Stock Removal Process

if i am not maintaining a stock removal strategy, do i have to define a strategy ( storage type search , storage bin search etc). If i dont maintain a strategy the system prompts " Data for storage type search is not defined"

The main reason i am addressing this query is because after maintaining the strategies i come across error while executing a stock removal process, the message been " System cannot find source storage bin". Any specific reasons as to why this is happenning.

Hello,

Please check whether you have maintained storage unit type search & also check whether you activated SUT tick in storage type where you want to do putaway material.
