Material types

Hi,

How many material types are defined in std SAP system? I was going through a few certification questions and the options were 15,16,17,18. But I find more than 20 in SAP. Could anyone help me find the correct answer.

    hello,

    you can have more than 35-40 material types in standard sap. in addition you can define n number of self defined material types

    Correct numbers in ECC 6.0 is 39

    Options are wrong. there so many movement types(may be more than 70)

    Hi,

    There are 30 standard material types.

    VKHM, WERB, MODE, FGTR, WETT, KMAT, Industry LEER & Retail LGUT, FERT, FOOD, VOLL, INTR, CONT, IBAU, HERS, NOF1, NLAG, UNBW, HIBE, VERP, FRIP, PIPE, PROC, PROD, FHMI, ROH, HALB, DIEN, ERSA, HAWA, WERT.

    These are only std material types.
