Hi Team,

I am fairly new to this SAP community and was working as an oracle consultant for 7 years, now shiting to SAP,

I am working on SAP BIW, and trying to source data from SAP r/3 system,

although i have finished all of the major ale settings between sap r/3 and biw, but when i tend to activate the the source system in biw i receive the following msgs,

Basic type ZSEA027 does not exist

The remote login from BIW to R/3 is working fine,

the IDOC ZSEA027 exists in RSBASIDOC table in BIW side, however this enetry is missing

in R/3 side,

could you please guide me, as to how i should correct this issue and make sure the same enetry also exists in r/3 side,

Regards,

bluesky

Hi,

It seems the last link is not working properly. Pls search in help.sap.com for this configuration guide.

Seems like the ale ports and idoc aggreements are not ok within the source system setup. Rightclick on the source system and run the restore option. This will correct these errors for you. If this does not work

1._check these SAP Notes_:

184322 Procedure after DB copy of BW source systems

886102 System Landscape Copy for SAP BW 2.X, 3.X and NW2004s BI

325470 Activities after client copy in BW source systems

325525 Copying and renaming systems in a BW environment

184754 Procedure after BW database copy

184447 Building a BW-system landscape

184971 Notes on BW source system connections

140276 Error in source system assignment

524554 Storing destinations in the BW environment

538052 Maintenance of Myself destination in BW

2.._Basic Type Does Not Exist means that it does not exist in the transaction WE30_

so try this. 1).WE 30 , The idoc tyoe must exisi in both the BW and r3

system . It must be identical in structure .

2. If if do not exist create a copy of RSSEND .

3. Then enter in maintenance view of EDIMSG ( SM30 )

Mess Type : RSSEND

Idoc type :

Release

4. Make sure finally your RSBASIDOC Table have both the entries same in BW and R3 .Now create source system .

Hi,

You need create a package Z***** (ZBIW) in the existing package type and assign it,not local package. Pls ask your basis guys to help in this regard. Goto--> SE80 > Repository Browser.>Select package and give your desired name below and click display.-->It asks the object does'nt exist do you want create.

Dear Mr Reddy,

now when i execute transaction se37, i can see any function module related to BIW

ex Type Transaction SE37

2. ) Type Transaction SE37.

a.) Execute RSAP_BIW_DISCONNECT_40 using Single Test .

b.) Use the following parameters matching information from Step #1.

I_BIW_LOGSYS = BW system (RLOGSYS from RSBASIDOC in BW)

I_OLTP_LOGSYS = OLTP Source system (SLOGSYS from RSBASIDOC in

BW)

I_FORCE_DELETE = 'X'.

do i need to ask basis team to create this conection from r/3 to biw?
