Archiving and Delete Messages Stragegy

Hello PI Experts,

I am new to the PI/XI world and have installed PI7.1 in the AIX/Oracle environment. I am looking for some guidence for SAP Best Practices and advice from the experts on how to setup archiving and delete messages strategies.

Also, do you have the same information on Alert Framework?
