Question to FPN and SAP Reference System

Hello together,

I have a question regarding FPN.

Situation:

1. Two portals:

- Portal 1 uses a LDAP and Usernames abc

- Portal 2 should use Usernames xyz

2. There must be a Federated Portal Network between the two portals.

3. I think that using a SAP Reference System (see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/ed/845896b89711d5993900508b6b8b11/frameset.htm) can enable SSO between the two portals and the the FPN working.

Can this scenario work or does portal 2 must have the same username as portal 1? Or is there another possibility to get a FPN working with the two different usernames?
