Distribution of Crystal Report 2008

Hello,

I am new in Crystal Report 2008 and using Crystal Report 2008 Full Product version. Earlier , i was working with Crystal Report 8.5 version and i used to make executable file after compiling the report using distribution tool and copied the same executable file into client (end user) machines to run from their end.

In CRW 2008, i have not seen any distribution tool to compile and make a executable file. My question is how can i deploy/distribute the report after designing into client machines in LAN to run from execute from their end.

Compiled reports went away starting with version 9.

One alternative is to use the free Crystal 2008 viewer (if you don't need to let the users refresh the data in the report).

Otherwise, you can get a server solution (e.g., Crystal Reports Server) or one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports viewer (see list at: http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html).
