New Packages for Installing Database Studio on 64-bit Computers

Hello,

Special download packages have been made available in the [SAP MaxDB download area|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/maxdb-downloads] as a provisional solution for installing Database Studio on a 64-bit Computer.

For details, see [HowTo|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/wiki?path=/x/cydxb].

A 64-bit standard installation package for Database Studio on 64-bit platforms will follow.

Dear Marina,

I visited the download area from 'Software Download' and searched for the studio, could find for version 7.7 and 7.8. That too there was no 64 bit edition for 7.7. Downloaded 32bit version, tried installing but shows 'Server Utilities' missing.

Also tried 7.8 64bit, but everyhihg is blank. I am using one of my SCM servers on Windows 2003

Environment:

Windows Server 2008 R2

Max DB 7.6 upgrade to 7.8

when start installer "SAP MaxDB Database Studio 7.8 for Windows 64bit", will appear following error msg

Thread status changed to 'unsticky'. With 64 bit Database studio released, there is no need to install Database Studio 32 bit in a 64 bit environment.

Hi Marina

I am having trouble in downloading 32bit version MAXDB Studio , Even thought I am downloading 32bit verison installation package but still 64bit version is getting downloaded !!!!!

Kindly suggest on the same

Sorry in last message I didn't mentiond OS, Its for windows 32bit I am trying to download but still getting 64bit version of the installation package for MAXDB Studio.

I was trying to download the MaxDB studio for windows 64bit OS from the linlk mentioned by below. but fails with the comment as File not found. can you kindly root me to the correct link.

At least the link for the Linux version was also wrong, I just replaced i386 -> x86_64 and it worked. I guess the same could help with the Windows version also.
