Problem while using BEx 7.0

Hi gurus,

BEx 3.x at my place is working absolutely fine, I am able to broadcast query results as well as

workbooks to external email addresses.

However, while using BEx 7.0, it doesn't event display query results on to the web.

When in query designer (BEx (7.0)). I open a query and click on execute. there is new browser

window that pops up, however it shows that the page cannot be displayed. The address in the address

bar is a bit weird as well. It looks something like as shown below.

http:///irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!
2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=

I know this is possibly because portal integration is not done. I don't want the results to be displayed on

to the portal. So my question is, Is there a way with which, without integration of portal and BI, I can

execute a query result on the internet browser via BEx 7.0.

Any help would really be appreciated.
