hi all,

is it possible to set a user status on WBS element for not using against Pm orders?

My requirement pm users are misusing the wbs element and from PS they need to have a check / control on the WBS element.

Once they set / approve the WBS element those only should been used across PM orders. How this can be achieved

Hi,

Hide the WBS assignment field in the order & so that the assignmnet is not possible.In settlement profile also make the entry that WBS element settlement is not posssible.

In PS also make the setting not to allow the maint order.

I cannot hide WBS assignment field in the order or In settlement profile also make the entry that WBS element settlement is not posssible also should not be done.

From the Project system once they approved the WBS element for PM order those WBS element only be allowed against PM order. If i hide the WBS assigment field i cannot use it for any of the WBS element.

Kindly clarify.

Hi

You can create User status profile, with authorization. Such that only authorized people can enter the wbs element.

It will block other user to enter

Check in the User status profile.. there is a option named authorization

The authorization key is the basis for status-dependent authorization verification

Whenever a user status is set or deleted, the user's authorization to do so is checked. The status profile, the object type and the authorization key for the user status concerned are checked.

If, for example, you want to ensure that certain user statuses can be changed only by people in a particular group, you assign all those user statuses an authorization key.

Then use authorization object B_USERSTAT to give authorizations for those authorization keys.

Maintain the authorization... such that particular user can only change the status...

If u have the status as CONFIRMATION FROM 'A'.... A is the authorized person (Manager or TL or Incharge)... once he change the status.. only.. u can process the order or complete it

I think to activate this.. there is some Badi... i am not sure.. wats the name of the Badi

IWO10033 - Customer-Specific Authorization Check Maint./Service Order

you can do with the help of user roles... it will restrict user to use the functions...

Hi

Use the user status control on WBS. Create user status profile using Ok02. Select the "object type" as " PP/PM: operation" and "PP/PM: order header".

Control business transaction "Assignment order/WBS" using this user status. This will enable you to validate the WBS for PM order assignement.
