error set env: too many argument

Dear Gurus,

I have installed SAP Netweaver 04 Testdrive SR1 on my SUSE linux 9.

at the lats stage of installation, the following message was printed on terminal......

inet:0 unknown interface no such device

set env: too many argument

OK

when i am trying to log in as su NW4ADM

it first says that set env: too many arguments and after when i try to start the MAX DB, it says that:

Start Profile not found

Pls help me what to do. I am not be able to get the solution........
