CL_SALV_TREE

Can an object of type CL_SALV_TREE be contstucted and displayed from

within a web dynpro application?

    Well you can't use cl_salv_tree as that is specific to the SAPGUI controls and list output. You can use the ALV Web Dynpro component - SALV_WD_TABLE. You can create a hierarchy in the table output - simulating something very close to the old cl_salv_tree.

    Thanks for your quick response.

    I don't see how SALV_WD_TABLE even comes close to the rich

    functionality of what is available in CL_SALV_TREE. The flexibility of

    its class design is remarkable.

    I honestly cannot see how I can duplicate in Web Dynpro what I have previously

    programmed using CL_SALV_TREE. That was absolutely perfect, and customers

    loved it.
